21.5 ct Cut Opal Cabochon Large

This is a semi black crystal base color. There is a nice honeycomb pattern. The color is spectacular with red, green, gold, and blue intense honeycomb flashfire pattern. This is a very unique stone with a nice cut. The table has a super nice golden green honeycomb pattern. This stone has an interesting history. It was in our $5/gr rough box and i started to look at it and realized we had this in the wrong place. It should have been in our $50/gram rough. We decided to cut it and it is incredible. Lesson for you is you never know what treasure you can find.
